The 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante SUV has been revealed. As is evident from the name, this Urus is more performance-oriented than the standard model. It is priced at $2,60,000 and will be available in the United States shortly. The India launch has not been confirmed but is expected to take place before the end of the year when deliveries will start. As with the standard Urus, the Performante gets the same 4.0-liter V8 engine. However, it has been returned to generate 16hp more, 666 hp, and 850 Nm of torque, with the same 8-speed automatic transmission handling the transmission duties.

The Tamburo ride selector now comes with an additional “Rally Mode” as well as Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes. Also, Pirelli developed super-sticky semi-slick Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires specially for high-performance SUVs like this one, the first of their kind. It rides on a rear-biased center-differential, and it rides on super-sticky ultra-slick Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires.

Aero improvements on the body complement these mechanical improvements. The Urus Performante also boasts a carbon-fiber hood with air scoops, and a new front grille with a bigger gap to allow air to flow into the engine while cooling. A new rear spoiler with an increase in downforce of 38% is included with the Urus Performante. Besides the hood, the Urus Performante's rear bumper is made from forged lightweight carbon fiber, while it also houses lightweight titanium Akrapovic sports exhaust pipes. These modifications have lengthened the car by an inch compared to the standard Urus.

There's a new hexagonal stitch pattern on the upholstery, which is standard on the Urus Performante. Although there are many leather options, Lamborghini's Ad Personam program offers numerous customization choices. A Lamborghini Urus Performante wrapped in camouflage had set the record for the fastest production SUV at Pikes Peak Hill Climb last week. Although the Urus Performante had not yet been officially launched, the Bentley Bentayga remains the official fastest production SUV in the hill climb, since the Urus Performante hadn't yet been officially released.
