As part of the new Performante edition of the Urus, Lamborghini has injected a few extra spices and herbs into the car, which was unveiled at Pebble Beach over the weekend.
With a 490kW/850Nm twin-turbo V8 with a 47kg weight loss, the 0-100kph sprint is completed in 3.3 seconds with a 490KW/850Nm engine.
An SUV weighing around 2150kg can brake from 100kph to zero in just 33 meters, which is pretty remarkable considering the SUV weighs around 2150kg.
As a result of the weight loss efforts, Lamborghini has added a new carbon fiber bonnet, an optional carbon roof, lighter 22-inch wheels, and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system as standard equipment.
As well as its low ride height, the Performante features a 16mm wider track and is fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires that are wrapped around a 20mm lower ride height.
As well as the rear-wheel steering now reacts faster to improve turn-in, the steering system has been recalibrated to provide 'enhanced agility, feedback, and sports orientation'.
As a result of the improved aerodynamics, the Performante has now become a serious contender for those who are searching for a family SUV that is incredibly fast.
A variety of drive modes are available for the Urus, just as on the standard model. When in Strada mode, the throttle response is smooth, but when in Sport mode, the rear-wheel steering is accelerated and the throttle response is bumped up.
The SUV's oversteer first appears when it is pushed around corners by someone comfortable pushing such a large vehicle. Last but not least, Corsa goes full race mode with everything set to maximum, from damping to exhaust.
As part of the drive mode selection, a new mode known as Rally has been added. This mode adjusts the anti-roll and damping systems accordingly for rougher and more extreme surfaces in the vehicle.
The delivery date of the new Lamborghini Countach is expected by the end of 2022, according to Lamborghini. Pricing hasn't been confirmed yet, but expect it to cost more than the standard Urus, which costs $369,000.
