Dell offers half-price laptops and desktops for workstations
There is no denying Dell's huge range and versatility, especially if you're looking for a high-end workstation that can handle Maya or AutoCAD, especially if you're shopping for desktops and laptops.
Whenever Dell offers Precision workstations, like these two - one for a desktop and one for a laptop - we look forward to them. In my opinion, if you're shopping for a great desktop computer deal, you should consider the Precision 3560. Not only does it have some excellent base specs, but it also has lots of customization options.
This computer comes with two processor options, the Intel i5-11600, which is a great midrange processor, and the Intel Xeon W-1390P, which is a high-end processor that can handle most CPU tasks. RAM comes standard with 8GB of non-ECC memory, but can be upgraded to 128GB of ECC memory if needed. You can upgrade it with either a single or dual Nvidia or AMD graphics card if you want to build a GPU- or video-editing powerhouse out of it, even though the base model does not include a GPU. To meet your needs, this workstation can be customized exactly to your specifications.
If you're looking for something a bit more mobile, this is one of the best laptop deals of the day. Precision 3561 is a powerful GPU-intensive design computer powered by an Nvidia Quadro T600, 4GB. Combined with 16GB of RAM, the Intel i5-11500H processor should be enough to handle most software, although if you're doing something like AutoCAD, you can upgrade to 64GB of RAM.
As standard, a 512GB SSD is included, with the option to upgrade to a 2TB SSD, as well as a secondary storage option of up to 512GB SSD or 2TB HDD. It's probably not worth it if you're a graphics designer, but if you're not, a battery upgrade is. The screen can also be changed to be touch-enabled, although sRGB coverage is lost.
