Possible dimensions and design of the iPad 2022 revealed in leaked renders
Apple is rumored to be releasing the next entry-level iPad this fall, probably during September, when the iPhone 14 series is released. Apple might finally replace the Lightning port on the 2022 iPad with a USB-C port, which was the only information we had at the time.MySmartPrice has also obtained some leaked computer-aided design renders of what the iPad 2022 edition might look like. There are a few noticeable changes to the design of the entry-level iPad in the renders.
Our first observation is that the tablet's back has a small camera island, similar to those on iPhone X and iPhone XS. In contrast to the iPad 2021, the iPad 2022 has a single camera and an LED flash instead of two. It probably would have been better if the charging port had not been hidden behind a drawn red line, but the mystery is half the fun, right? Also according to MySmartPrice, the new 2022 iPad will have a larger display, measuring 9.78 x 7.06 x 0.27 inches, while its predecessor measured 9.84 x 6.85 x 0.30 inches. On the other hand, the 2021 model measures 9.84 x 6.85 x 0.30 inches.
