In July, Asus launched the ZenFone 9 in select markets. In India, Asus ZenFone 9 may launch on August 23, according to a tip. The device may debut in the country under the name Asus 9z. The Asus Zenfone 5 was launched in July with a hole-punch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, and a 4,300mAh battery.

In addition to 16GB RAM, 256GB of storage, and dual stereo speakers with Dirac HD Sound, the Taiwanese company has equipped the handset with a fingerprint sensor. In an announcement on Twitter, YouTuber Sahil Karol announced that the Asus ZenFone 9 will be launched in India on August 23. The handset may come in India as Asus 9z as Asus doesn't release phones with the ZenFone moniker due to trademark issues.

This is the naming style that the Taiwanese company has been using for quite some time. As the company's latest flagship, the phone was launched in two color options and two configuration options in some markets.

The Asus ZenFone 9 comes with Android 12 out-of-the-box and a 5.9-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. Defend the display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

In addition to its 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.9 lens, the Asus ZenFone 9 has a secondary 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/2.2 lens that has a 113-degree field of view for photos and videos. A Sony IMX663 selfie and video call sensor with an aperture of f/2.45 can be found on the Asus ZenFone 9.

It comes with up to 256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage. It comes with a 4,300mAh battery that supports fast charging at 30W. The device has an in-display fingerprint sensor and is dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating. Dual microphones with OZO Audio Noise Reduction Technology and dual stereo speakers with Dirac HD Sound are also included.
