A new model in Vivo's Y-series, the Y22s, has been launched in Vietnam. 4G handset features a waterdrop-style notch display and Snapdragon 680 SoC, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The Vivo Y22s comes with 8GB of inbuilt RAM, which can be expanded up to 16GB by using the available storage. Vivo Y22s is equipped with dual rear cameras with a 50-megapixel sensor and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
The price of the single variant of Vivo Y22s with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is VND 5,990,000. Vivo's online store in Vietnam and e-commerce sites Shopee and Lazada currently list it. Starlit Blue and Yellow Green are the available colors.
We have yet to learn more about the new phone's global availability and pricing. Earlier this week, the company's global website listed the smartphone, but no price details were available.
With a 6.55-inch full-HD LCD, 90Hz refresh rate, and 89.67 percent screen-to-body ratio, the Vivo Y22s runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12.
A waterdrop-shaped notch houses the selfie camera on the display. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and 8GB of RAM power the new Vivo Y-series phone. An additional 16GB of RAM can be added using the onboard storage.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y22s has a dual rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 lens. A 2-megapixel bokeh sensor and an f/2.4 lens are also included in the camera setup.
The front of the device is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie sensor for taking selfies and video chatting. Additionally, the Vivo Y22s comes with 128GB of onboard storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.
The Vivo Y22s features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, Glonass, NFC, OTG, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. E-compass, gravity sensor, light sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board.
Additionally, the handset comes with a face unlock feature as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that it is equipped with for authentication.
The Vivo Y22s comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Among its features is the ability to stream online HD videos for 21.5 hours and play games for 9.4 hours on a single charge.
