'Ubisoft+ For Xbox' Could Launch Soon, New Leak Suggests

As a result of an Xbox backend scrape, a Ubisoft+ logo has been revealed. It is likely that Ubisoft+ - the publisher's subscription service - will launch on Xbox shortly. The Ubisoft+ logo has been found in a Twitter scraping of the Xbox backend, indicating that the service is on its way to Xbox.

In January, Ubisoft confirmed it would be launching its service on Microsoft's platform, but provided no further details. The leak would mark the debut of Ubisoft+ on a console platform since it is currently available only on PC.

In September 2019, Ubisoft+ launched over 100 quality games from the publisher, similar to Xbox Game Pass. As part of the launch package, subscribers can enjoy new games and DLC at a monthly cost of €14.99.

Every month, subscribers can reward themselves with boosters and customization items. In addition to this, there is a ranking system for accounts, which awards you with in-game currency and loot boxes the longer you stay.

As previously announced, Ubisoft+ will not be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, unlike EA Play. Game Pass subscribers can only access Ubisoft games intermittently with Ubisoft+, which will be available as a separate subscription.

In the same way that Ubisoft+ Classics on PlayStation Plus gives upper-tier members access to their games library, Ubisoft might implement a cut-down version of its subscription system. It is wise to take leaks with a grain of salt, but ALumia_Italia has a reputable track record, leaking the arrival of Immortals Fenix Rising to Xbox Game Pass in August.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the same last week, saying that Ubisoft's Zelda-like title will arrive on August 30. Moreover, Tencent is in the process of becoming the single-largest shareholder at Ubisoft. As part of its ownership of Assassin's Creed publisher, the Chinese games company already owns 5 percent of the company.

According to Reuters, Tencent has reached out to the French firm's founding Guillemot family and expressed interest in increasing its stake. The monthly price for Ubisoft+ for PC is currently €14.99. Sadly, there is no Indian pricing; this is expected to change once Xbox One support is added.
