A McLaren 765LT Spider now has 855 horsepower

In just 2.7 seconds, the McLaren 765LT Spider accelerates from 0-60 mph with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 755 horsepower. You will be knocking on 124 mph in seven seconds if you keep your foot flat.

Most people are satisfied with that speed. Novitec, however, thought they could get even more out of the car if only they went full Mad Max on the Autobahn. It already offers a spectacular hardtop upgrade, and now it's getting a drop-top upgrade.

With 855 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and 662 lb-ft of peak torque at 6,300 rpm, the Spider gets the same upgrades as the 765LT.

Three levels of Novitec N-Tronic plug-and-play modules are available for the 765LT Spider. This module provides Novitec-developed maps for injection, ignition, and boost pressure control to the vehicle's ECU.

Add the ceramic-coated turbo inlet pipes and the thermally-insulated Novitec Race high-performance exhaust system to unlock the full 855 horsepower.

There is a significant impact on performance as a result of these upgrades. It claims to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, and from 0-124 mph in 6.7 seconds. Its top speed has been increased to over 206 mph, according to Novitec.

No matter whether you opt for the plug-and-play module or not, Novitec's high-performance exhaust system is a must. Thanks to sophisticated exhaust routing, the system produces a sportier soundtrack and enhances performance.

In addition to being cooler, the engine bay is also thermally insulated. Gold plating of 999 finer purity can further optimize thermal management. There are four 3.5-inch tailpipes available with or without carbon embellishers, as well as gold-plated versions.

The Novitec 765LT Spider comes with several naked carbon exterior fittings to help differentiate it from the standard car. The trunk lid, headlights, scuff plates, and air intakes all have inserts.

Novitec's rims are manufactured by Vossen in the USA. Novitec says they feature seven delicate twin spokes and a center-lock hub cover made with state-of-the-art forging and machining technology. Various colors and finishes are available for the wheels.

This car has 20-inch front rims and 21-inch rear rims. As a result of Novitec's sports springs, the ride height is 0.8 inches lower. Color options for the leather and Alcantara interior are virtually endless.
