The Monterey Car Week is not just about cars, even though it is commonly referred to as the Monterey Car Week. We knuckle-dragging bikers are allowed to roam the manicured lawns of the monocle crowd for some reason.

The term 'knuckle draggers' might be a stretch when it comes to describing the people who bring 7-figure motorcycles to Monterey. In any case, here are the top 10 most expensive motorcycles that will be on display at Monterey Car Week 2022.

A celebrity-owned bike like Elvis Presley's Harley or Captain America's chopper from Easy Rider trades this moniker but is also associated with unusual ownerships. It doesn't matter which way you look at it, these bikes don't count.

These early BMWs are amazing. These early BMW motorcycles still look more or less the same as modern BMWs. Look at the motor construction, exhaust, and drive line. Looks like primitive versions of modern bikes.

The motorcycle was around before 1910, but there were not many of them. Harley-Davidson produced this 1910 bike as part of its earliest production efforts. The construction and controls on these early bikes are far from what we're used to today.

The 1920s were a time when winning race was a major factor in bike sales. It was important to Indians, as well as other manufacturers, to make bikes that performed, and this bike was no exception.

The 1926 Indian Altoona is not only gorgeous but also unfathomably rare and slower than greased lightning. Between $110k and $120k are estimated to be the selling price of this little monster.

The Indian is also equipped with a 1,265cc four-cylinder engine, which is shockingly original. The Honda CB750 is the most famous four-cylinder in three decades earlier. They were ahead of their time and are now a true rarity. The bike is expected to fetch up to $140,000.

The Harley-Davidson isn't just valuable because Dewey Sims owned it, but because this is the same bike he raced and won in the 1931 Peoria five-mile state championship race.

A Harley-Davidson owned by a celebrity has all the value that it has because it has been raced and won by a famous racer, Dewey Sims, who won the 1931 Peoria 5-Mile State Champion Race while riding it.

The King of Cool is Steve Mcqueen. Even though we said this wasn't about celebrity-owned bikes, I feel that making an expectation for Steve McQueen's last motorcycle is a worthy exception.

With the addition of 12-volt electrics, an electric starter, and some quality engine internals, Harris Vincent was able to restore this Black Shadow not just to the same condition as when it left Harris Vincent, but to a better state than when it left him.

An amazing restoration for the venerable Harley-Davidson Knucklehead. Despite its restoration, this bike contains several rare original parts.

The mid-1936 open rocker heads, small brace front fender, original dash and speedometer, and toolbox will freak out knucklehead nerds. There are a lot of original parts, including gas caps and fluid lines.

The design of these motorcycles is one of the most beautiful ever seen. A Crocker engine was a performance monster. They deliver on every level. The Big Tank V-Twin is estimated to fetch up to a million. The most expensive motorcycle this week.
