Porsche 911 GT3 Manthey Performance Kit does it again

As if the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 wasn't already incredible, Porsche engineers in Weissach collaborated with Manthey to improve it.

The Manthey Performance Kit for the Porsche 911 GT3 improves the coupe's aerodynamics and suspension, resulting in quicker lap times as expected.

Manthey's 911 GT2 RS package set the production vehicle lap record at the Nürburgring last year with a timing of 6:43.3. On a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, this new bundle for the GT3 kit shaved 4.19 seconds off the mark Porsche established last year with the stock car, running the North Loop in 6:55.737.

The modifications begin with a larger front lip spoiler and side flaps. They increase downforce on the front axle by channeling air through modified air passages under the car. Aerodiscs on the rear wheels help control aerodynamics while also looking great.

The rear diffuser's vertical strakes are longer and built of carbon fiber reinforced plastic at the back. Above that, the swan neck wing is bigger, can accommodate larger endplates, and has a greater attack angle.

The suspension is now a four-way adjustable Coilover setup, with the owner being able to vary the rebound and compression without the use of any equipment.

It's also stiffer, with spring rates that are 10% greater in the front and 7% higher in the back. This, according to Porsche, improves the car's ten-tenths handling without affecting its everyday usage.

Forged lightweight wheels weighing 16.1 pounds, braided steel brake lines, and racing brake pads will be available as options.

For the time being, the package is only available in Europe, but Porsche USA says it is exploring bringing it to the United States. EU customers will pay €37,911 ($40,370 US) through Porsche Centers, which is roughly $10,000 per second saved over the 'Ring effort. We'd take it based on the video.
