Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, which was released on iOS in 2013, never made it to the West with an English translation.
Sure, Capcom went on a mobile rampage in 2017, bringing a slew of other franchise titles to Android, but the original trilogy was never released outside of Japan.
This all changes today, as Capcom has finally released the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Android in English, and you can get a copy for $18.99 as part of the celebration.
The trailer above shows what Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Android has to offer. All 14 episodes of the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright:
Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations are included in the title, as planned. All three games include a visual novel component in which you play as Phoenix Wright, a defence attorney entrusted with defending his clients. As a result, you'll have to dig for clues and question witnesses in order to get a not guilty decision in the courtroom.
You can expect HD graphics, ten save spaces (per language), and a variety of language support, including English, Japanese, French, German, Chinese, and Korean, as this is a new release tailored for current smartphones.
Unfortunately, there is one catch: Capcom states that once the app is purchased, there will be no refunds. It's also worth noting that all of the prior Ace Attorney Android games haven't received any updates in at least two years, with the most recent update for Apollo Justice coming in 2016.
Capcom appears to have a dismal track record of keeping its premium mobile games up to date.
Still, the Ace Attorney Trilogy is available on Android for the first time in English today, so if you've been aching to play a good courtroom adventure game, $18.99 is a good deal for (at least) 60 hours of gameplay.
While it's concerning that Capcom doesn't issue refunds and rarely updates its premium titles, considering Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy costs $30 on consoles and PC, $18.99 is a fantastic deal to jump into this adventure series. If you'd want to get your hands on a copy, you may do so via the Play Store widget below.
