During Sonos' refurbished sale, the Arc soundbar is discounted by $180

It's easy to overspend on a home sound system, especially if you want to go all-in on Sonos gadgets.

However, buying refurbished speakers and soundbars can save you a lot of money, and Sonos now has a bunch of them on sale.

The Arc soundbar, for example, is $180 less than a new unit, bringing the price down to $719. You'll also save $110 on a refurbished Sonos Five, which costs $439 instead of $549.

Both the refurbished Sonos One and One SL are around $200, if you want to start with something more basic.

Buying refurbished items might be risky, but Sonos' programme thoroughly inspects each equipment to ensure it is in like-new condition.

These devices include all essential accessories, manuals, and replacement components, as well as the same one-year warranty as the company's brand-new items. If you want to install Sonos speakers in your home but are on a tight budget, buying a few secondhand devices is a good way to go.

Sonos' sale features the largest reductions on its higher-end goods, as one might expect. Because of its superb sound quality, Dolby Atmos capabilities, and sleek style, we gave the Arc soundbar an 85 when it initially came out.

We liked its touch controls, Alexa and Google Assistant support, and AirPlay 2 compatibility, and it was a much-needed improvement to the Playbar that came before it. Apart from the limited port choices (it just has an HDMI port, an Ethernet socket, and a power port), our major gripe was the high cost of extension.

Each new Sonos One speaker costs $219, while a brand new Sonos Sub costs $749 (but reconditioned units are only $599).

One of our favourite music-centric speakers is the Sonos Five. It also has excellent sound quality, and we like how easy it is to set up and integrate with an existing Sonos system.
