With Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play tons of awesome games on their PCs, Macs, and mobile devices using Microsoft's cloud streaming services.

The current drawback of Xbox Game Pass is that you can only play the games that are part of the Xbox Game Pass library and that's the only issue it has.

As a result, players are unable to use the cloud to play non-Game Pass games they have purchased permanently. It is possible, however, that this will soon change.

The Xbox content creator Klobrille noticed that an Elden Ring listing featured Xbox Cloud Gaming play buttons, possibly allowing fans to play the game from the cloud.

While the button doesn't launch the game - it simply times out repeatedly - the fact that this page exists suggests that Microsoft is getting closer to bringing Elden Ring and other non-Xbox Game Pass games to Cloud Gaming.

The Microsoft Store also appears to feature advertisements for Elden Ring on Cloud Gaming, strengthening this theory. In June 2022, Microsoft confirmed its plans to expand Xbox Cloud Gaming's library to include permanently purchased games not available on Game Pass.

As of then, Microsoft announced that the expansion would be coming this year. There's a good chance that it could be only weeks away based on the discovery of this Elden Ring webpage.

Elden Ring's arrival on Xbox Cloud Gaming would be particularly exciting for Xbox gamers, as the open-world action RPG has proven to be one of the biggest games of 2022.

The game has sold over 13.4 million copies, so we're willing to bet that there are plenty of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who own it and would love to explore the Lands Between in the cloud.

Microsoft's spokesperson told Windows Central that there was a bug in the Xbox Store that was causing Game Pass Ultimate icons to appear on some titles due to the Game Pass Ultimate icon appearing on some titles.

“We have identified a bug that incorrectly displayed some titles as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate compatible. A fix has been rolled out and this has now been updated,' they explained.
