Microsoft recently announced the Surface Laptop Go 2, a lightweight and compact Surface laptop starting at $599.

Featuring a compact 12.4-inch PixelSense Display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 1536 x 1024 pixel resolution, the Surface Laptop Go 2 boasts a maximum brightness of 330 nits.

With this laptop, you can choose from three tiers based on the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor.

The base model comes with 4GB RAM + 128GB SSD, while an 8GB + 128GB tier is available for $699, and an 8GB + 256GB tier is available for $799.

In the latter two models, fingerprint scanners are integrated into the power key, but not in the base model.

Platinum, Sage, Ice Blue, and Sandstone are the four color options.

In addition to the USB-A, USB-C, and 3.5mm headphone jacks, the Laptop Go 2 has a Surface Connect port for charging with Microsoft's magnetic chargers and docking accessories.

Microsoft has now opened pre-orders for the new Laptop Go 2, which will be available on June 7.
