The phone's massive sensor allows the phone to take amazing photos like this stunningly detailed one. While Motorola's next flagship phone has been rumored to feature a massive camera sensor, we haven't seen any real-world images taken by its 200MP camera lens.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra has a new camera sample that has been spotted online that appears to be directly from the handset.Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site, has shared a picture of a bouquet of assorted flowers owned by Chen Jin, who works for Motorola's parent company Lenovo. It looks very promising.
The photo was taken with the Edge 30 Ultra's 200MP sensor and processed using its 4-in-1 pixel binning ability to produce a 50MP image using the camera's 200MP sensor. The OEM of a phone with a large camera sensor commonly uses pixel binning to save storage space so that the handset's storage doesn't quickly fill up with large files.
In addition to this, many of the best Android phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, use this approach to do their work.
The image posted by Jin on the blog looks promising, with stunning details and vibrant colors that seem to make the image pop. Although, it is still nothing surprising given the recent teaser that was released by the same Motorola executive a few days ago.
As Jin revealed in one of his earlier Weibo posts, the phone's camera would use a 1/1.22-inch sensor, presumably Samsung's ISOCELL HP1 sensor, in what was supposed to be a reference to Samsung's camera.
The Edge 30 Ultra, which will be sold as the Moto X30 Pro in China, is also rumored to feature a 12MP telephoto sensor from Sony which is supposedly going to be included in the phone.
You will supposedly be able to take stunning selfies with the front-facing camera that has 60MP. The Chinese phone maker, however, has hinted that an ultra-wide lens may be dropped from the plans, as hinted in a recent teaser released.
As Motorola hinted earlier this month, its next flagship device will have three different focal lengths, namely a 35mm primary lens, a 50mm portrait lens, and an 85mm telephoto lens, each with a different focal length.
As for the insides, this phone is rumored to be powered by a chipset known as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. We can only hope that Motorola's upcoming flagship model will come equipped with a large storage capacity, such as a 1TB option to accommodate large files, so that we will be able to use it on the go.
