Apparently, the iPhone 14 will offer performance improvements over the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, according to a leak. Despite using the same A15 Bionic chip as last year's flagships, the base models are more expensive. Rumors had suggested that only the iPhone 14 Pro variants would receive the next-generation A16 Bionic chip for months.
It's a first for Apple. It will be interesting to see how Apple differentiates the Pro models from the non-Pro ones with the iPhone 14. Featuring the best iPhone hardware Apple can offer this year, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will take the cake. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus/Max will reuse some components from the iPhone 13 Pro.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus/Max will share the design and space of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, according to rumors. As with last year's models, they'll have a notch in the display.
There will be a difference in the camera module on the back, since the cheaper iPhone 14 models won't have three cameras. Overall, the performance and experience of the iPhone 14 should be similar to that of the iPhone 13 Pro.
This year's Pro models should have similar specs to last year's. There are reports that Apple will use the same variant of the A15 Bionic that powered the iPhone 13 Pros. This means that iPhone 14 models will feature a GPU with five cores and 6GB of RAM.
Apple's iPhone 14 Pro variants will feature a new pill-and-hole display design. In addition, the Pro variants will feature a brand new 48-megapixel sensor with triple lenses on the back.
A16 Bionic chip will be found inside the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. As with the base models, 6GB of memory will accompany the processor.
But we're also looking at faster LPDDR5 RAM for the Pros, which should speed up the overall experience. Therefore, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will deliver noticeable performance improvements.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus/Max are expected to perform at least as well as the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, based on these rumors. The new devices, however, have not been benchmarked.
In comparison to last year's Pros, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max might be about 15% faster. That's what you can expect from the CPU speed bump. There might be a 25-30% increase in GPU performance. According to a recent report, Apple has access to a variety of chip technologies for the iPhone 14 series, but these are just estimates.
While the non-Pro iPhone 14 variants use older hardware, a leaker known as ShrimpApplePro on Twitter claims that they will still offer some performance boosts.Other than mentioning a new internal design and a new cellular model, the leaker does not go into specifics.
Due to the lack of specifics, this might just be speculation. It's likely, however, that Apple will want to differentiate between the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14. Apple could still make a case that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus/Max are more than just repackaged iPhone 13 Pros and iPhone 13 Pro Maxs by just boosting performance a little.
