The Realme GT2 Explorer Master Edition arrives with a custom design made in collaboration with the renowned fashion designer Jae-Jung and is Qualcomm's first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip.
With a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate, the new flagship from Realme offers a high touch sampling rate of 360Hz. Featuring Full HD+ resolution and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, the display is 100% color accurate.
To ensure optimal performance of the display and power consumption, the brand has developed its own X7 display driver chip. As for the bezels, they are ultra-thin at just 1.48mm on the sides and 2.37mm on the bottom.
As with its predecessor, the device features a triple camera setup on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. There is a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 150-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor on the device. A punch hole in the center houses the 16MP selfie camera.
Hardware-wise, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip has been equipped with an Adreno 730 GPU to provide the best touch responsiveness and appropriate refresh rates. With the X7, you can artificially increase the frame rate from 30 frames per second to 120 frames per second while gaming and from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second in other situations.
With its distinctive design, the device is dubbed the Travel Trunk. It comes with a metallic frame and a vegan leather rear, making it considerably more premium than plastic. It comes in Plain White and Plain Black color options, as well as shoulder keys that are gaming triggers.
Gamers and other users who want an all-rounder in their smartphones will love Realme's latest flagship. Featuring Realme's GT Mode 3.0, the device features two vapor chambers to dissipate heat.
Battery life is good thanks to a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at 100W. It is claimed that a full charge can be achieved in less than 25 minutes.
According to the company, this device's battery will last twice as long as its competitors because of the GaN materials in the cell. Batteries are guaranteed to last 1600 cycles before 80 percent of their capacity is lost.
In addition to Realme UI 3.0, the GT2 Explorer Master Edition runs Android 12 OS. Aside from this, the device also features dual-band GPS, 360-degree NFC, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will not be available outside of Mainland China, and Realme will only release it in Chinese markets.
