Two new smartphones have been unveiled by Asus as part of the ROG portfolio - the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, both of which are from the ROG family of smartphones. Although both phones are almost identical and run Qualcomm's most powerful (yet) Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, their RAM configurations differ.
Also included in the Pro model is a secondary screen panel on the back that customers can customize in order to enhance the overall look of the device. There is only one storage option for both smartphones, unlike the previous-generation ROG Phone 5 series, which came with two storage options
The regular Asus ROG Phone 6 is priced at Rs 71,999 for the lone variant that offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the ROG 6 Pro's only model offers 18GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 89,999
Both phones will be offered in the Phantom Black and Storm White color options of the ROG Phone 6, while the ROG Phone 6 Pro also comes in the Storm White color option. The availability of these two devices on the market remains unclear, but we should get more details very soon
ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro are the same with the exception that they are slightly different in terms of specifications. They both come with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and a 165Hz refresh rate with 720Hz touch sampling
It is important to note that although most mobile games aren't optimized for such a high refresh rate, customers can still have a smooth viewing experience while playing them. Corning's Victus Gorilla Glass protects the displays from damage
The ROG Phone 6 Pro also has a small display on the back, giving the device a more game-like appearance than the ROG Phone 6 Pro.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset comes with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro both come with 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensors in addition to a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. At the front, the duo both have a 12-megapixel camera
Several other key features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, and NFC. There are two USB-C ports on board, as the secondary port can be used to connect cooling accessories. The AeroActive Cooler, an integrated Thermoelectric AI Cooling System, along with a ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad are also included.
Finally, the new-generation Asus ROG Phone 6 series comes with ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 to allow you to play the game like you are on a gamepad on your smartphone similar to older ROG phones.
