There is a way to hide your 'Active Status' - the little green light that appears next to your profile picture whenever you are online - which you can do by clicking here.

Can you tell me what Facebook Active Status is? It is possible to determine whether you are online on Facebook and Messenger by checking your Active Status.

You'll notice that it's a green dot that will light up next to your profile picture when you're online or have been active recently.

You can use it as an indicator to let your friends know whether you're around, giving them an idea of how quickly you might reply to their posts or messages.

The Active Status feature is activated whenever you open the Facebook or Messenger apps or log in to the service using a web browser.

You can hide your online status to prevent people from knowing when you are online.

Is it possible to turn off the Active Status on my computer? In both the Facebook and Messenger apps, you can disable Active Status by going to their respective settings menus.

Nevertheless, if you disable Active Status for one service, it does not automatically disable it for all other services as well.

If you turn off Active Status on Facebook or Messenger, you'll still appear active or recently active in any other places where you're using Facebook or Messenger unless you turn it off there, too.'

You'll need to turn it off on every device you use for Facebook and Messenger.
