It has been confirmed that OPPO's 2022 flagship Watch will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 wearable platform.

It has been hinted that OPPO's first vehicle can boost performance.

There are few alternatives to the Apple Watch that can compete with the OPPO Watches - at least in terms of looks.

Franco Li, OPPO's associate vice president and president of IoT Business, believes that Wear 5 silicon will capture the next generation of smart wearable technology.

Therefore, it is just as well that Li announces the Watch 3 will be launched in August 2022 as the world's first wearable with the SoC.

In addition, Li hinted that an upgraded ECG Edition might be coming in the future as part of a 'series.

As reported by Digital Chat Station, the Watch 3 comes in three variants, which is consistent with the statement.

In addition, the OEM has not revealed any new or updated health-tracking attributes for the Watch 3, but it is now being touted as delighting' consumers with its improved performance.

It may, however, be beaten in these terms by the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 4, as it will be the first Wear 5+ smartwatch to go on sale.
