Messages can now be edited and unsent up to five times on Apple iPhones

A new interesting update for iMessage has been released for users of the Apple iPhone. iPhone users now have the option of unending and editing sent messages on their devices.

The iOS 16 beta 4 software is now able to allow iPhone users the ability to edit text messages up to a maximum of five times at a time, according to a report.

Senders of the message, as well as receivers of the message, will be able to access the editing that has been done to the message.

In any case, once you have reached the 5-time limit, the option will automatically disappear from the menu as well.

The latest iOS 16 update also reduces the time it takes to unsend an iMessage on your iPhone, reports Hindustan Times.

It used to be that iPhone users had a 15-minute window in which they could revert the message they sent after sending it, but this has now been significantly reduced to only 2 minutes.

Nevertheless, the limit on the number of times a message can be edited remains the same, which is five.
