Samsung to unveil its monstrous 55-inch Odyssey Ark monitor

The US giant Samsung is preparing to release its 55-inch Odyssey Ark curved monitor in August, according to a report from Korean outlet ETNews (via SamMobile).

The monitor was announced at CES in January, and it has reportedly undergone some certification programs that need to be completed before it can be sold. Specific details about this monitor are still unknown.

The company claims that it will have a 16:9 4K panel and that the stand will support pivoting, tilting, and rotating.

Additionally, the company announced that it would be released in the second half of 2022 (so the reported August release window falls right in).

However, to be honest, when someone shows up with a monitor that promises to physically tower over them while using it, people are likely to pay attention - even if they don't reveal the price or refresh rate.

As the months go by, it becomes harder to remember everything from the flood of technology. There is a possibility that Samsung actually announced a very large and curved monitor that can wrap around someone or if it was just a fever dream.

It has indeed been announced, and rumor has it that it might be out fairly soon reminds us that we're looking forward to it.

In addition, Samsung has successfully released other monitors that it announced around CES this year, according to The Verge.

This is not proof that Ark will follow, but it's good to see that Samsung has been shipping monitors to CES for quite some time this year.

In addition to the smaller curved gaming monitor Odyssey Neo G8, the much less ambitious M8 monitor has already gone on sale.
