Samsung's next phone could be the most powerful with a removable battery

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro rugged smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro on July 13.

The former device has already leaked a few details, and now the new details have emerged.

Korea's Samsung has released the user manual for its Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro smartphone, bearing the model number SM-G736B (h/t: SamMobile). Here are the biggest takeaways.

It confirms that the upcoming Samsung phone has a removable battery and provides instructions and images on how to install and remove it. See the images below.

That makes it a pretty special release, even if it isn't only because of the removable battery. According to a recent Google Play Console listing, the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro will also come with an upper midrange

Snapdragon 778G processor, which means it will be the most powerful smartphone with a removable battery.

Fairphone 4 seems to have been the previous top dog in this regard, packing a Snapdragon 750G processor.

The user manual lists two customizable hardware buttons (an Xcover key on the left and a 'top' key), a 3.5mm port, a power button with a fingerprint reader, microSD card support, and an ultrawide rear camera.

Other features mentioned in the manual include Single Take mode, Super Steady video recording, and Samsung Dex.

Until July 13, we won't get a full look at the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro, but it's clear that fans of phones with removable batteries will want to keep an eye on it.
