Soon, a new foldable phone could be launched alongside the Oppo Find X5 Pro equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chips

This Xiaomi phone was launched earlier this year in China and Europe. As such, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is not going to arrive in India anytime soon, however, the company is excited to announce that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip will be used in the new version of the smartphone to debut in China.

There have been rumors circulating that Oppo is planning to launch a Find X5 powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in the near future and this could potentially be a new version of the Find X5, which was powered by a Snapdragon 888 chip.

It is safe to assume that this will be a new version of the Find X5 Pro as opposed to the vanilla Find X5. It is also being reported that the tipster has been given information that Oppo is preparing a new vertical or clamshell folding smartphone codenamed Dragonfly.

Furthermore, the Find N family of smartphones will also be followed up with a successor in the form of the Find N2, codenamed White Swan.

Also on the way is the ColorOS 13 update, as well as the Oppo Band 2 and Oppo Watch 3. The tipster indicates that these devices are going to reach China in the second half of 2022.

As of right now, there is no word on when they will be available globally, but they do say that they will be available in China shortly thereafter. In spite of the fact that the Oppo Find X5 series has not been launched in India, it is still worth noting.

We believe Oppo is gearing up for a major unveiling next quarter, which we are, of course, eagerly anticipating.

Furthermore, the competition in the foldable market is also expected to get hotter as Samsung and Motorola announce new foldable devices within the next couple of weeks, which should further add to the tension.
