Ten million foldable smartphones sold by Samsung in 2021; Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Z Fold 4 are on the way

As of 2021, over 10 million Samsung Galaxy Z Fold smartphones have been sold by the South Korean technology giant

Samsung has scheduled the Galaxy Unpacked event to begin on August 10. The company will unveil its next generation of foldable and flip smartphones at this event.

Samsung Mobile's chief revealed that the company has managed to sell over 10 million Galaxy Z Fold smartphones in 2021, which is 300 percent more than the number sold in 2020.

Using a press release, Samsung Mobile Chief, T M Roh, revealed the company sold over 10 million Galaxy Z Fold devices in 2021, an increase of 300 percent over 2020.

In addition, he said that 70 percent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold customers preferred the Galaxy Z Flip 3 over the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 were also teased by him. Both devices are expected to be unveiled on August 10 at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked.

Samsung has led the foldable smartphone market despite receiving a 74 percent decline in the first quarter of this year, according to a recent report.

Additionally, according to the report, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a 51 percent market share, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has taken second place for the third consecutive time.

There are also other smartphone brands working on foldable devices, including Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola, and Huawei.
