Another leaker suggested the iPhone 15 will use USB-C instead of Lightning. Ming-Chi Kuo didn't differentiate between iPhone 15 Pro and lesser models.

Apple may continue to differentiate non-Pro and Pro iPhones after the iPhone 14. USB-C should be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro. iPhone 15 series may have a periscope zoom camera. The iPhone 15 Pros are the only devices with telephoto zoom lenses.

The iPhone 16 Pro versions will be the first to have an under-panel Face ID, according to a display analyst. Only the selfie camera would pierce the screen, creating a hole-punch display.

Finally, Apple's iPad Pros got USB-C. Apple added it afterward.
