The Pixel 6 Pro is currently on sale at Target for 70% off

Google's Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are old news and in the rearview mirror. It seems the Pixel 6a is getting a 15-minute grace period before the Pixel 7 phones take their place. There's no way around it.

However, you might also be able to find some pretty good Pixel deals right now, but you'll have to go to a store to get them.

There are threads on the r/GooglePixel subreddit with people telling how they got a 70% discount on the 128GB Pixel 6 Pro in Stormy Black on the final markdown.

The MSRP drops from $900 to $270, which is an impulse buy level. Florida, Georgia, and Massachusetts are the states where clearance stickers have been found so far. It's important to know that the situation varies from store to store, so don't expect to find them in any Target store.

The chain has four markdown tiers — 15%, 30%, 50%, and 70% off — and the only reason the store marked down stock was that it wasn't supposed to have it in the first place. Also, don't call their store to find out how many pixels 6 Pro stock they have.

The stock in every store varies, according to another self-identified employee. The Pixel 6 was available in their store, but not the Pixel 6 Pro.

Bargain seekers have been advised to check the inventory scanner site BrickSeek before heading out to see if they have stores with low inventory. An indicator of a low price is a low stock, not a guarantee. Make sure you treat the Target associates politely and kindly if you go to one.

The fact that retailers are emptying shelves in anticipation of the upcoming Pixel 7 is not something we are surprised about.

Some cheekier people have suggested swapping up nicely to the new phone if you can snag a bargain now. That's not something we recommend.
