As a new rumor in the media suggests, Google is going to use ceramic materials with its future Pixel smartphones. According to a new report which sheds some light on two of the company's upcoming devices.

As per Digital Chat Station, Google is partnering with Foxconn to produce an unnamed flagship Pixel device and a Pixel foldable phone in China, according to the report.

This is a bit shocking since Google moved some of its manufacturing operations to Vietnam in the last few years.

The source goes on to claim that the Pixel flagship phone in question is made from ceramic, which makes the whole thing even more intriguing.

The phone's specs and the technology powering it are a mystery at the moment, with Digital Chat Station only confirming it's powered by a Tensor 2 chipset and featuring a 2K display for now.

The previous rumors, however, have helped us to get a better idea of what Google will be up to shortly.

The ceramic Pixel phone, according to Digital Chat Station, will sport a 50MP camera with an IMX787 sensor.

which was announced via a Weibo post on the company's official social media channel.

The same sensor was reported to be used for a high-end Pixel 7 model code-named 'Lynx' in an earlier leak, according to that leak.
