In the coming months, Google will release Android 13 to more smartphones from other major manufacturers.It has been announced that Google will roll out Android 13 to Pixel smartphones on Monday, August 15.

Google has announced that its Pixel smartphones will begin receiving the stable version of Android 13 starting Monday. Google Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a 5G, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a are the Pixel phones getting the update.

Google Play Services reveals a bootloader update, which increments the anti-rollback version, is included in Android 13 rollouts for some Google Pixel 6 models. As a result, once updated, Android 12 cannot be rolled back. If you start installing Android 13 on these devices, you will not be able to flash older versions of Android 12.

Apps will now have to seek 'explicit' permission from the user to send notifications with the new Android OS version.

A messaging app can also be mirrored from a phone to a Chromebook in the near future, according to the company. As part of Android 13, Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) audio has also been added, allowing users to hear better synced audio with reduced delay.

The new Android OS version supports HDR video for third-party camera apps. Android 13 now allows users to copy-paste content from their phone to their table or vice versa.

The Android 13 update brings a new, updated taskbar that is supposed to make multitasking easier for tablets. Touches from a palm and a stylus pen will now be registered separately by the tablets following this update.
