The Xiaomi Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is scheduled to be released in China at an unknown time on Aug. 11 at a location to be announced.
The company confirmed it on Weibo. Moreover, Xiaomi shared multiple posters of the device on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, which reveal some of the device's specifications as well as its design.
As part of its powertrain, the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
The handset will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display and 108MP triple rear camera setup at the back, as well as a 120Hz screen refresh rate display.
As for the display design of this device, it is anticipated to have a hole-punch design with an old-style design.
As for the launch, the event would take place in China on August 11 at 7 pm local time, which is 4 pm IST. As per the poster, the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition may be launched in a Silver Trace color variant.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is expected to have an OLED display. A 5,000mAh battery could power the device, which supports fast charging at 120W.
The device may feature more than one sensor in addition to the 108-megapixel main sensor and may also feature an 8-megapixel sensor as well as a 2-megapixel sensor.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be launched as the upgraded version of the Redmi K50 family of smartphones. In March of this year, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 were launched in China for the first time.
