As part of Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022, which will coincide with the launch of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, there will be a showcase dubbed 'a new way to flex' as part of Samsung's August mobile showcase.
The event is expected to reveal at least three big phones, including the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4. A new Galaxy Watch is also rumored to be released alongside the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event will be virtual, just like the Galaxy Unpacked events last two years. Samsung's website and YouTube channel are free to watch for everyone.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event will take place on the 19th of September, so grab popcorn and settle in. We will be launching a new product today, so here is how you can tune in and what we expect to see today...
As far as the length of the event is concerned, it is expected to last for at least an hour, although this could easily end up being 90 minutes or longer. As early as the 20th of June, Samsung announced the upcoming event with the release of a cryptic puzzle.
The official teaser trailer was released on July 10th, followed by an official press release. The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 will take place almost exactly 12 months after the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021.
At the same event, we saw the Samsung Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 launched, so it follows that we will also see the successors to those at this year's event. It is expected that both Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 phones will have minor - but significant - upgrades over their predecessors.
While it looks like the Z Fold 4 will feature more camera upgrades and a different aspect ratio, the Flip 4 should have a bigger battery and less noticeable screen crease.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro wireless earbuds are also on our wish list. It was rumored that Samsung's next true wireless buds could launch before Galaxy Unpacked, but time is running out, so the company may save them for the event.
An unofficial rendering shows new buds with a similar design, but with a purple finish instead of the current black. Meanwhile, the latest specs leak points to 'Intelligent' noise-canceling, 10mm drivers, and 360 Audio support for the Buds 2 Pro.
A new Galaxy Watch is expected to be launched by Samsung too. Possibly made from titanium and scratch-resistant sapphire glass, the new timepiece will come in a pricy 'Pro' edition.
