The Vivo Y22s have appeared on the company's official website, suggesting it will launch soon. On its global website, Vivo has revealed specifications for its upcoming Y-series smartphones.
The launch date has not yet been officially announced by the company. The Vivo Y22s is confirmed to have 50-megapixel dual rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery. The Snapdragon 680 SoC powers it.
The device has an LCD, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. Vivo Y22s smartphone listing shows a waterdrop notch display and rectangular dual rear cameras. Summer Cyaan and Starlit Blue are the handset's colors.
The dual SIM Vivo Y22s runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 and sports a 6.55-inch full-HD LCD. In addition to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680 SoC, the Vivo Y-series phone comes with 8GB of RAM.
An additional onboard storage unit can increase the RAM capacity to 16GB. Dual rear cameras on the Vivo Y22s feature a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
The listing suggests an 8-megapixel selfie sensor at the front for selfies and video chats. Further, a microSD card can be used to expand the onboard storage of the Vivo Y22s up to 128GB.
The Vivo Y22s supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, Glonass, NFC, OTG, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, an e-compass, a gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
The device is reported to be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. Additionally, the smartphone supports the feature of face awakening.
The Vivo Y22s is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support of 18W. According to the Vivo global website, it measures 164.30×76.10×8.38mm and weighs 192 grams.
As of this writing, Vivo's website does not provide pricing information for the Y22s. Neither the official Twitter account nor the company's official Facebook page made any announcements.
