As well as the new Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro tab, popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled its latest phone, the Redmi K50 Ultra, on August 11, 2022. Redmi K50 Ultra has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 6.67' AMOLED display, while Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro has a 12.4' display.
As with other K50 series phones, the Xiaomi K50 Ultra sports a 6.67' AMOLED display. In contrast to the 8-bit panel of the K50 Pro and the 10-bit panel of the K50 Gaming edition, it has a 12-bit panel that can render 68.7 billion colors. Through an ambient color display sensor, the display maintains perfect color calibration.
The screen also features a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. A fingerprint sensor is also built in that measures the heart rate of the user.
There is a 108-megapixel camera with OIS on the K50 Ultra. One glass element and five plastic elements make up the combined lens, which allows more light to pass through. In addition, it has a bright aperture of f/1.6.
The Surge P1 chip on the Redmi K50 Ultra enables 120 W fast charging on the 5,000 mAh battery. Its new chipset and efficient display can extend the battery's life by more than a day. It has Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and 5G connectivity. An IR blaster and NFC are also included.
The phone will also be available in a special edition called 'Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Summer Edition'. In this edition, only 20,000 units will be manufactured in the 12GB+512GB configuration.
The new Pad 5 Pro has an 11' display, which is a slight increase in size from the original Pad 5 Pro. The bigger display has a lower pixel density but has a 27% larger viewing area.
As well as an 8-bit panel, 120Hz touch sampling, and an 8-bit panel, this has some other downgrades. The tablet also supports HDR 10 and Dolby vision. It has a larger 10,000mAh battery that should last up to two days after a full charge.
In a little over an hour, the 67W fast charging system can charge up to 60% of the device. Additionally, the tablet is slimmer, measuring 6.66 mm excluding the camera bump.
Snapdragon 870 chipset powers Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4' with 6GB/128GB base configuration. In addition to 8GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB also is available.
The device only supports Wi-Fi. The device supports Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Excellent low-light performance is offered by the 20MP front-facing camera. A 50MP sensor and a 2MP depth sensor are on the rear camera.
It is powered by the Android 12 based12-based MIUI 13 OS and can be turned into a laptop when connected to a keyboard.
