The Mac Studio has launched nearly six months ago, but the highest-end M1 Ultra configuration still has up to 10 weeks to go. As of 6 months later, we're still waiting for Apple's new Mac Studio to ship to consumers, despite it being announced earlier this year.
A further 10-week delay is expected from Apple for the top-level M1 Ultra version of the Mac Studio, which would take close to 9 months if you ordered it after Apple announced its new Mac Studio in March 2022.
The Mac Studio starts at $1999 with the M1 Max chip and should ship to consumers within one to three weeks... depending on what RAM and storage options you choose.
The standard version of the Mac Studio won't ship for another 7 weeks at least if you choose the flagship M1 Ultra chip. You'll have to wait up to 10 weeks for your Apple Mac Studio with 64-core GPU.
The last thing you'd want is to spend $10,000+ on the highest-end Mac Studio, and 6 months later nothing's there, or even 10 weeks away from having it.
A TSMC 5nm process node is used inside of the Mac Studio to provide the heart and soul of the Mac Studio, using Apple's M1 Max and M1 Ultra SoCs.
As of right now, Apple's highest-specced Mac Studio with the new Apple M1 Ultra SoC packs a 20-core CPU, 64-core GPU, 128GB of RAM, and 8TB of storage... which will cost you $7999.
With the high-end Studio Display with its beautiful nano-texture glass and upgradeable display, you're adding nearly the entire system price to your bill: $7497.16.
