In Washington, scientists have always been fascinated by information about the Moon and Mars. This is because we have always been fascinated by them.
A number of space agencies around the world are conducting their missions in order to search for life on Mars, with NASA (NASA) and the Chinese space agencies being the leading ones.
Currently, NASA Martian scientists are working on a mystery regarding the Martian atmosphere. The amazing thing about it is that you can also contribute to it as well.
To help with this, NASA has organized a project in its citizen science platform Juniors called ‘Cloudspotting on Mars’. The project will enable people to identify clouds on Mars by using their eyes. NASA believes that people are easier to identify with their eyes than computer models.
Scientists believe that there were lakes and rivers on Mars billions of years ago when it had a thick atmosphere. Scientists want to know how the atmosphere of Mars lost its thick atmosphere over time. If you would like to help NASA scientists with this project or are interested in astronomy, to begin working on the project.
There are 16 years of data that NASA has collected to identify and measure clouds on Mars. The data was collected by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) in 2006.
This orbiter has been studying Mars since 2006. NASA's instrument has taken numerous pictures of Mars. In these photos, the clouds seem to be arching. NASA's team is asking the public to help them mark these arcs.
A postdoctoral researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Marek Slipsky, said he is interested in understanding what causes clouds to form.
As a result of the success of this project, researchers will be able to discover why the atmosphere on Mars is only 1 percent denser than that of Earth. But evidence also suggests that the atmosphere on Mars was thicker in the past.
