Earth could receive quantum messages from an intelligent alien civilization

Researchers have discovered that photons, the light particles, can travel vast distances without losing their quantum nature. For example, the search for extraterrestrial signals can be conducted by using photons to look for quantum messages.

The development of earth-based quantum communication systems is currently underway. Quantum particles are used to transmit information through these systems. There is a greater level of security with this technology than with standard or classical communication. Future high-speed internets could be 'unhackable,' according to the technology.

Arjun Berbera, a theoretical physicist, has suggested aliens may even have adopted quantum communication. Quantum communication is hindered by decoherence, which occurs when quantum particles lose part of their unique characteristics during their interaction with their environment.

As Berbera said, 'Quantum states are normally thought to be very delicate, and if any external influences are present, they will be destroyed.'

The quantum particles could beam across large interstellar distances according to their calculations. Even if it traveled hundreds of thousands of light-years, it would have survived. The distance between the Milky Way galaxy and the earth is greater than any stretch of space in the universe.

Their study described the movement of X-Rays between roughly a hundred nearby exoplanets and the Earth-based on astronomical data and mathematical models. The quanta should not encounter any significant obstructions at this distance, based on the results of our analysis.

According to scientists, quantum communication mediated by photons may be conceivable across interstellar distances, especially for photons in the X-ray region below the electron mass.

Information can be securely transferred using quantum communication at high speeds, making it a viable method of communicating with other life forms.

As far as the researchers know, there are no objects that are capable of transmitting quantum messages in a manner that would be mistaken as signals from extraterrestrial life.
