Starting the week by setting up for experiments later in the week and completing orbital plumbing tasks made up the Expedition 67 crew members' to-do list.
Flight Engineer Jessica Watkins from NASA and Flight Engineer Samantha Cristoforetti from the European Space Agency assisted with Rodent Research-22. A space biology experiment examines the effects of microgravity on tissue regeneration.
A NASA Flight Engineer removed samples of the final Fiber Optic Production-2 space manufacturing study in the morning and packed up the hardware.
Later that evening, Hines installed hardware for the new Space Fibers-3 study on space manufacturing.
Roscosmos station commander Oleg Artemyev was involved in the Cardiovector study. The study of cardiac health is also a priority in space research as doctors learn how to keep astronauts healthy during long-term exploration missions.
Aside from Artemyev, Cosmonaut Denis Matveev also stored the hardware and tools from Thursday's spacewalk.
In a check of its brakes, Cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov examined the European Robotic Arm of the European Space Agency.
NASA Flight Engineer Kjell Lindgren was servicing the station's bathroom while on plumbing duty. The drain valves were checked and the recycling tanks were replaced.
The Waste and Hygiene Compartment is located in the Tranquility module and recycles urine into drinking water.
