The 13th mission of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket was launched and landed, tying the record

On Sunday morning (July 17), SpaceX launched one of its Falcon 9 rockets for the 13th time and nailed the landing as well.

The launch of 53 of SpaceX's Starlink internet satellites by a Falcon 9 rocket took place at 10:20 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (1420 GMT) on Sunday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.

This was the 13th launch of this Falcon 9's first stage, tying a record that SpaceX set just the month before and just 10 days ago matched a record similar to that set by the company exactly a month ago.

According to SpaceX representatives, the booster was also used to launch SpaceX's Demo-2 crewed test flight to the International Space Station, the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, the SXM-7 communications satellite,

There is a good chance that this booster will fly again at some point in the near future: A little less than nine minutes after liftoff, it came down and landed vertically on the drone ship Just Read the Instructions,

Starlink released 53 satellites from the upper stage of the Falcon 9 about seven minutes after liftoff, at 15.5 minutes after liftoff, according to a tweet from the company.

In its mission broadcast, SpaceX stated that the fairing halves that protect the satellites on their ride to orbit made their third flight today, marking the 50th mission that SpaceX has used reflown fairing halves on a mission.

Continuing a busy year for SpaceX in 2022, SpaceX launched a rocket on Sunday. The flight today marked the 31st Falcon 9 mission this year, tying the launch total for 2021

As of yet, SpaceX has launched over 2,800 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, and many more are likely to be launched soon: SpaceX has permission to loft 12,000 Spacelink satellites,
