An electric car owner will benefit from a new feature in Google Maps' latest beta release. New features have been added to Google Maps' latest beta version.
Among the features featured on the app is the ability to show an energy-efficient route that caters to the needs of electric and hybrid cars. There is a good chance that this new feature will be released in the next couple of weeks.
In addition to the new feature that is being developed, Google Maps is developing a new one that will delight owners of electric and hybrid vehicles. The app is said to feature a new navigation capability that utilizes more energy-efficient routes to provide better EV and hybrid vehicle efficiency.
There is new information in the APK Insights of Google Maps beta for Android phones that was discovered by the people at 9to5Google. In the latest update bearing version 11.39, there are now options to select the type of engine users are currently driving, whether it is gas, diesel, electric, or hybrid.
Using the selected options, Google Maps will be able to tailor its navigation system to each type of car, giving the routes that will allow the vehicle to save the greatest amount of fuel or energy.
A fuel-efficient route can be found with Google Maps based on certain variables, such as traffic congestion. It aims to provide customers with the route with the lowest carbon footprint and an ETA similar to the quickest route.
Google appears to be working on tailoring Maps to account for people who use electric vehicles, but there is a big difference between the most fuel-efficient route for one vehicle type and the most fuel-efficient route for another vehicle type.
Earlier this year, Google introduced a new Maps feature for select electric vehicles that facilitated the easy navigation of charging stations while they were on the road.
Although this new feature may not be a game changer for electric vehicle owners, it could help reduce range anxiety by helping them reach their destination more efficiently and reduce range anxiety.
There is no doubt that electric vehicle drivers are already reducing their carbon footprint and that Google is also committed to fostering a more sustainable future through its products.
