The SkyPerfect JSAT has teamed up with SpaceX to launch a satellite in 2024

As reported on August 18 by SkyPerfect JSAT, on August 18 the company's statement stated that a rocket named Starship would be used to launch the Superbird-9 satellite in 2024.

As part of the agreement, SpaceX will use the super-heavy lifter it is building at Boca Chica, Texas, for a mission, according to the JSAT company, which provided no further details.

As part of its brief statement before Superbird-9's launch, 'SKY Perfect JSAT and SpaceX will work closely together in the coming months.'As it relates to the launch of Starship, this is the first contract he has disclosed for a commercial satellite operator.

A Falcon 9 or Starship launch will be available to customers of Texas-based AST SpaceMobile by 2024. Besides Starship, SpaceX will launch another broadband satellite next year with more than 100 tonnes in low-Earth orbit and 21 tonnes in geostationary orbit.

NASA contracts SpaceX to build a starship that can land on the Moon for manned missions. As part of its plans for the colonization of Mars in the future, SpaceX plans to deploy a 120-meter rocket.

A 'parking orbit' near the Earth could be used to refuel Starships on journeys deeper into the solar system. SpaceX has been testing its Super Heavy first-stage booster as Starship prepares for its first orbital flight test.

The Federal Aviation Administration concluded that allowing SpaceX to launch from Boca Chica would have no negative effects on the environment. SpaceX must first take dozens of precautions to reduce its environmental impact.

A reconfigurable payload platform of about three metric tonnes is being built for JSAT by Airbus. As a result, Superbird-9 may launch along with more passengers on its journey to geostationary orbit.

While SpaceX hasn't yet discussed specific rideshare prospects, Jarrod McLachlan, SpaceX's head of rideshare sales, said that the company is 'working on the rideshare configuration and smallsat offerings for Starship.'

The company plans to begin using the Superbird-9 in 2025. The satellite's steerable beams will mainly serve Japan and Eastern Asia during that time. To fund the satellite project, the operator plans to invest 30 billion yen.
