Watch NASA's Artemis I rocket launch live in VR

In August, NASA will launch its unmanned Orion CM-002 spacecraft from Cape Canaveral, Florida, the first of a series of test flights for its Artemis program.

In order to return humans to the moon by 2024, the mission aims to certify the Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System launch vehicle.

In addition, Felix & Paul will be partnering with Meta Quest and distribution partners worldwide to live stream the upcoming launch in 8K, 360-degree VR.

In addition to Venues within Horizon Worlds, Facebook 360 via Space Explorers' Facebook page, and 5G 360-degree video platforms in select locations, the immersive live stream will be available in a variety of domes and planetariums.

“After the Apollo missions, the Artemis generation will be able to experience the upcoming Moon missions and future Mars missions in an immersive environment,” said Felix Lajeunesse, co-founder and Creative Director of Felix & Paul Studios.”

This is part of our ongoing mission to bring the public along for the ride on humanity's next giant leap in human space exploration.”

This is the same team behind Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, a 360-degree series filmed aboard the International Space Station that won an Emmy Award.

Developed in collaboration with NASA, each episode offers an unprecedented glimpse into astronauts' lives aboard the space station, during which they served as cast members, crew members, and directors.

For the first time, the studio built a 360-degree camera designed for zero-g environments, allowing them to capture a spacewalk in VR.

The launch of Artemis 1 is currently scheduled for August. In addition to Venues in Horizon Worlds, Facebook 360, and select 360-degree streaming platforms, you can catch the action live in VR. Click here for more information.
