The battery life of the Google Pixel Watch is hinted at in an APK teardown

The Pixel Watch finally made its debut at Google I/O this year, following years of rumors.

In Google's announcement, the company only confirmed that the device will be available soon, but if you're curious about its battery life, an APK teardown by 9to5Google might be the answer.

This report shares the teardown of the Fitbit app, which apparently can be used to manage the Pixel Watch.

The publication discovered strings suggesting that the Pixel Watch might have a 24-hour battery life. The strings mention that users will need 30% of their battery to track a full night's sleep.

Assuming that Google calculates the length of time it takes for a human to sleep a full eight hours, some simple math would indicate that a full charge of the watch would take around 24 hours, plus or minus a few hours.

As we had heard previously, it was rumored that the Pixel Watch would come with a battery life of around all day, and this is actually in line with what we were hearing previously.

It is actually not that much, especially if you intend to use the watch to track your sleep, so 24 hours isn't that much.

The battery life of some smartwatches has been reported to last days or even weeks.

Therefore, if the rumors are true, then it is a bit disappointing. On the other hand, if you are already used to charging your smartwatch every day or every night, then it shouldn't really be a problem if you are already used to do so.

As Google is expected to announce the Pixel 7 phones in the coming months, so keep an eye on our site for more details as they become available. The Pixel Watch will most likely be unveiled in full along with the Pixel 7 phones, so stay tuned.
