The 3nm MacBook may take longer than we expected for it to be released than we had previously anticipated. According to a new prediction from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will be on the way shortly, but it seems that this process will not be used in these products. Kuo wrote in a tweet today that replacement MacBooks for the excellent professional MacBooks "will be mass-produced" by Q4 of 2022, according to his sources.
According to Kuo's sources, the company "may still adopt the 5nm advanced node," which is the same process node that the recent M2 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models are based on. As a result, if this is true, it would mean that Apple will not release its first MacBook chip designed for 3nm manufacturing later this year, which is also rumored to be going into production shortly.
The previous reports have indicated that Apple had plans to introduce MacBooks powered by the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips this autumn based on the new M2 technology. There have been reports that suggest that the M2 Pro chip will use the 3nm node in its architecture.
As confusing as the leak landscape is right now, everything will be clarified at Apple's October launch event, where everything will be revealed. As well as new iPads, such as an M2 iPad Pro and the 10th-generation iPad, we expect several Mac computers to be showcased at this event as well.
