A OnePlus spokesperson said that the OnePlus 10T passed all durability tests and is durable enough to withstand everyday use. The company says the OnePlus 10T can withstand everyday usage and meets or exceeds all of OnePlus' extensive durability testing procedures.

The company released its statement a few days after the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything posted a video about the phone's durability. In the video, the OnePlus 10T was shown to have broken into two parts after pressure was applied - similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus 10T's scratch test results and its performance after a lighter is used were satisfactory.

The OnePlus 10T passes all of OnePlus' extensive durability testing procedures, which include a pressure test in which its center is pressed while weight is applied to its front and back. The OnePlus 10T can withstand 45kg of external force in the OnePlus' lab and has an enhanced structure engineering design, according to OnePlus.

A YouTuber named Zack Nelson tested the durability of the OnePlus 10T on his YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. The video showed how the newly-launched smartphone survived most of the scratches and fire tests. In spite of scratches on the glass protection and burns on the display, the phone still worked flawlessly.

It, too, failed to survive the bend test and literally broke in half - just like the OnePlus 10 Pro. The phones both suffered catastrophic damage after they were bent from the middle and broke just below the camera module. It lasted longer than the OnePlus 10 Pro, Nelson said.

In addition to designing, engineering, and manufacturing OnePlus devices, we ensure they are durable so they can withstand everyday usage," the OnePlus statement said. It is important to note that the bend test exposes the phone to extreme conditions that may or may not happen in real-life scenarios. The phone will suffer catastrophic damage if it is subjected to extreme conditions, however.
